This course focuses on the nature of oil spills and their consequent environmental and economic impacts.
Oil spills can truly disrupt marina operations, cause loss of income and burden harbors with severe penalties. This course addresses the size spills harbor personnel may encounter in their work, safe and effective oil removal techniques, and information and training needed to eliminate oil spill prone activities in and near marinas. It also is appropriate for environmental agency staff and organizations dealing with near shore waterways and resources.
